New shirts, same spirit: San Lazzaro Rugby Club 2026/27
Our new kit has arrived! A growing, close-knit team thanks Cestaro Rossi, Ruggero and everyone who supports the club.
There are seasons you remember for the results, and others you remember for the people. At San Lazzaro Rugby Club, the start of 2026/27 is already special: our numbers keep growing, the team feels closer than ever, and every training session is another chance to be together, have a laugh and enjoy rugby.
What began as a group of people who wanted to play has become a genuine social club. The atmosphere is cheerful and welcoming, both on the pitch and away from it: new faces quickly become teammates, and teammates become friends.
New shirts for a new season
This year's most visible change is, of course, our new green-and-white kit. We finally got to wear it together for a photoshoot, and we could not be happier with the result. It carries our colours and crest, but above all it represents the community we have been building day after day.
The new shirts were made possible thanks to the support of Cestaro Rossi, a company with a history dating back to 1921 and extensive experience in industrial plant construction and maintenance. Our heartfelt thanks go to them for financing the new kit and believing in our project.
A particularly important thank-you goes to Ruggero, one of our players and a member of the club's administrative team. His hard work behind the scenes helped turn the idea into the shirts we are proud to wear today. A club grows thanks to those who play and those who also give their time off the pitch. Ruggero does both.
Thank you to those who stand with us
We are delighted to continue alongside Birra Bellazzi, a local brewery that brings people together around good beer and great company. On Saturday 17 October, we will celebrate with them at the BellazziSpaccio as part of the festivities marking 10 years of the Cicogna. It feels like the perfect occasion for a team that values friendship as much as rugby.
We also thank C.M.G. Impianti, a San Lazzaro-based company that has been operating since 2003 in civil and industrial electrical installations, networks, security systems and technological solutions. Having such a well-established local business by our side is especially meaningful.
Finally, a sincere thank-you to Emil Banca for its contribution. Its support came through a charitable contribution. We are grateful for this gesture of trust and closeness to local grassroots sport.
A new chapter, without forgetting the old one
The shirts from last season deserve a new story too: the old kit will be auctionedamong those interested. It is a lovely way to keep a piece of our club's journey alive as we make room for the new colours.
To Cestaro Rossi, Birra Bellazzi, C.M.G. Impianti, Emil Banca, Ruggero, every player and everyone who lends a hand: thank you. These shirts look great, but what makes us truly proud is the team wearing them. See you on the pitch!
